Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes (March 7th, 2018)

Welcome, the Fantasy Sports Guru is back!  Without further ado, here are my picks for tonight. Yesterday, I won $80 from $25 worth of entries, so I made out pretty good on Draft. I went heavy on Anthony Davis yesterday, so I got pretty lucky when he was able to come back into the game after halftime. However, I also drafted a lot of Stephen Curry so that helped a lot.

Davis is being drafted too high today though, so in most leagues I ended up with LeBron.

Here is a majority of my lineups today:

Guards: Lonzo, Jrue, and Derozan. I think that Lonzo is due for a nice bounce back today and has high upside in the game against a poor Magic defense today. Also, even though Jrue Holiday is coming off of a long game, I think that he eats up a poor Sacramento defense. Holiday has been on a tear recently, and I think that he does great in an ultra friendly matchup today. Derozan is playing against the Pistons tonight, and the game has high blowout potential. Still, I think Derozan gets his usual 40 point fantasy game, and I think he’s a relatively safe play for later rounds tonight.

Forwards: Randle, LeBron, Millsap. If you can get Davis tonight, then lucky for you. However, I think that Leborn is just as good of a play tonight in what should be a high scoring game against the Nuggets. Also, I think Randle against the Magic has 50 point fantasy potential, and his high usage rate should be helpful in a great matchup. Millsap is the guy I’m targeting in late rounds because he’s easy to find and I think even with the minutes restriction he could still post 40 fantasy points.

Center: Gobert. I think that the top 6 centers today are all relatively even, so I wouldn’t spend a high pick trying to go after Jokic or Drummond. Instead, I would wait for Gobert who has been playing out of his mind recently and comes at a much cheaper price. Honestly though, I’d just wait on center until the last round and look for one of the top 6 centers, preferably Gobert.
