Like promised I am back with some more fantasy baseball advice. Today in Beat the Streak, I am taking Nolan Arenado and D.J Lemahieu. Honestly, you can probably go with any of the hitters in this matchup and have a good chance of winning. However, Arenado’s numbers vs. Clayton Richard are just unreal, and you should go check them out for yourself. Add in the bonus of Coors Field, and you have a lock for me today in BTS. Lemahieu doesn’t have as large of a sample size against Richard as Arenado, but I still feel confident he can grind out a hit. I would prefer to pick Charlie Blackmon, and if he is healthy he would be the pick for me. So if you can wait to the last minute, I would take Blackmon if he is actually playing today.
For Draft, my dream team lineup is Noah Syndergaard, Arenado, Trevor Story, Mike Trout, and Bryce Harper. I think that Lemahieu has a higher potential for a hit than Story, but I think that Story has good homer potential in the game today. Mike Trout is breaking out of his slump, and he has a favorable matchup against Doug Fister today. Bryce Harper, enough said. The guy has been crushing the ball and has soft-ball pitcher Julio Teheran pitching to him tonight. As for Syndergaard, I think that he’ll be a pretty popular pick tonight. However, I think he has the highest potential out of all the aces. He faces a virtual Triple-A lineup tonight in the Marlins, and I think for sure he has double digit strikeout potential against them tonight.
