                                             TOTAL: 60.75 FP

This lineup placed 3/124 and cashed $100 last night in the $777 MLB Lucky 7s. this was an all-around great lineup and missed first place by 2.75 FP.

I’ll break this down as to some of the picks. I knew to even contend in the GPP you  had to have Max Scherzer. He was expensive, but I knew he would finally dominate the Astros. I’ve taken 2 other pitchers against the Astros and they burned me but not last night. I Had J.P. Arencibia at catcher but I took  Sanchez at Catcher because my original outfielder was out and i needed to save money. Luckily that paid off in a big way with Sanchez. Prince Fielder really pooped his pants again tonight. Jose Reyes led the game off with a HR and set the pace for the whole offense. I then had to go with the hot bat in Rasmus who proved himself with a couple of doubles and Pence was a last-minute replacement which paid off as he had a ton of ABs and saw himself on base 3 times. That left little salary with which I found Crawford having a Plus Matchup and it paid off as he cost very little but had return with 3 singles. My lineup was in first place up until about 10 P.M. ET. The only reason I didn’t cash $150 was because first place ended  in a tie and they split $200 each instead of the $250. It was overall a great night and  you should start subscribing so you all can have as much luck as we did  last night!

P- Jesse Chavez $7,700- Chavez has started 6 games this season and has 2 wins, 41 Ks, and a 1.89 ERA in 38 innings. He’s only had 2 games with less than 10 FP and he’s coming off a strong outing against the Rangers where he pitched 7 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts, picking up the win and 19 FP. He’s a great mid-level salary player, facing the Mariners tonight, and should be in line for a great night.

P- Marco Estrada $7,400- A little cheaper option than Chavez, Estrada draws a plus-matchup against the struggling Diamondbacks. In 6 starts this season, Estrada  has 2 wins, 34 strikeouts, and a 3.13 ERA. I don’t see a lot of people taking Estrada tonight which could workout well for a GPP pick.

Other Notable Pitchers: Tim Hudson- $7,300, Chris Archer- $7,300

SS- Jhonny Peralta $3,400- Peralta will be facing Atlanta Braves pitcher Gavin Floyd who was just activated from the 15 day DL. Floyd has struggled this season and Peralta has a plus-matchup tonight. In his career, Peralta is 11 for 36 with 2 doubles, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 5 walks, but be careful about his 10 strikeouts.

SS- Jose Reyes $3,300- Reyes is extremely familiar with Phillies Cole Hamels. In his career, Reyes is 22 for 56 with 6 doubles, 4 RBIs, 5 walks, and 10 strikeouts. Just like Peralta, Reyes has the strikeouts, but unlike Peralta, Reyes is swinging a hot bat and it would be hard to justify not using him as our SS tonight.

3B- Nolan Arenado $3,700- You almost have to take Arenado as he has a 25 game hit streak which he kept alive last night with a HR and 8.75 FP.  He’s been on fire and tonight the air temperature will be 76 degrees and perfect weather for the ball to continue to fly out of Coors.

3B- Evan Longoria $4,000- Longoria has had HUGE success against Chris Tillman of the Orioles. Lifetime, Longoria is 10 for 24, with 2 doubles, 4 HR, 5 RBI, and a .417 batting average. He could seriously go off tonight and make or break your team.
