Well, Adrian Gonzalez sat last night, but luckily we replaced him with Miguel Cabrera who had a monster game. Another DFS day in the books, and another night of cashing some big $$$. Let’s keep this ball rolling as there are early games we need to discuss.

Suggested Plays for 5/7/14:
P- Rick Porcello $6,800- After taking Robbie Ray yesterday against the Astros and it paying off, we have to look again at another Tiger’s pitcher in Rick Porcello. He’s moderately priced for his matchup and he’s coming off a 7 inning, 4 hit, 6 strikeout performance against the Royals where he got the win and 15 FP. The Astros are a far worse team than the Royals and Porcello gets to pitch at home where he has a 2-0 record with a 1.32 ERA and hasn’t allowed a home run this season there.
P- Tom Koehler $5,600- Koehler makes a great GPP play with his low salary and his matchup against the Mets is a perfect GPP play. He’s coming off a great game against the Dodgers where he went 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits, 2 walks, and 4 Ks for the win and 15 FP.
1B- Miguel Cabrera $4,300- At this point, you almost have to take him against the Astros. He’s been heating up and had a great game last night. Going for 13.75 FP and getting on base like his former Triple Crown self. He comes with a upper price tag, but with the affordable pitching we have today, we could be in store for another great game from Miggy.
1B- Brandon Moss $3,500- Moss has the power, but he just hasn’t shown it like he did last year yet. He’s facing the Mariner’s but be careful because they are playing a double header today. Check for the lineups for both games, if Moss plays game 1 he is facing Felix Hernandez, but if you’re doing a late-night only lineup, he’ll be facing Erasmo. This could be tricky so make sure to check before first pitch.
2B- Neil Walker $3,600- The Pirates are hosting the Giants at 12:35 ET which would be 9:35 AM Pacific time. The Giants played last night and now had to turn around and play less than 12 hours later and in a 3 hour difference time zone. The Giants are putting out Tim Lincecum who just fell off the past few years. I could see Walker having a tremendous game today as he bats from the left side where he has 5 of his 6 HRs. Look for Walker to break out today.
OF- Alfonso Soriano $3,300- Sori just faced Hector Santiago last weekend where Santiago started the game good before imploding. I can see that happening again tonight. Soriano has been hitting left handed pitching well this year and in a short amount of matchups with Santiago, Soriano is 4 for 9 with a double and 2 HRs. I hate putting people in a early-locked lineup since this game isn’t until 10:05 ET but playing the numbers, you would have to assume Soriano will be in the game.
C- John Murphy $2,500- This is contingent on J.R. Murphy catching for the Yankees tonight, so check the lineups often, but Murphy did get his first career HR off Santiago last weekend. He would be more of a punt play at catcher but in GPPs that’s what you need.
